FMHAC is committed to the goal of first-rate forensic mental health care in California through quality education and training to the professionals who need it. We think an important part of effective forensic mental health services is to draw together professionals from a variety disciplines who all need current information and practical strategies for working with their patients, clients, or inmates who are mentally ill.

In 2006 we provided a special track on Mental Health Courts and in 2007 we presented a MIOCR track where administrators and practitioners learned about the new Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction Grant Program. Our 2009 conference includes a track for Crisis Intervention Teams. We continue to scan the field to fulfill the most current training needs in forensic mental health.
