Find treatment

Mental illnesses can usually be treated with medication, psychotherapy or a combination of the two. Other treatments, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), which can be controversial, are also available, but are used far less often than medications and psychotherapy. Treatments may also be available to you in a hospital, but are usually provided outside hospitals.

In addition, other services, such as support groups, are available in communities nationwide.
