Brenda Lee

Brenda Lee Brenda Lee is the former President and CEO of Mental Health America - Allegheny County, Pittsburgh, PA.  She received her B.A. from Howard University, Washington, D.C.  She now lives in Maryland where she continues to be an advocate for the mental health movement.

Ms. Lee joined Mental Health America - Allegheny County in 1991 as Director of Development and became President and CEO in 1999. Prior to joining the Mental Health America - Allegheny County, Ms. Lee served as the Director Development for the Washington, DC Chapter of the American Lung Association, Planned Parenthood of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., and the Overseas Education Fund, Washington, DC.  She always worked for The Edna McConnell Clark Foundation and The John A Hartford Foundation in New York, NY, the Bedford Stuyvesant Community Corporation in Brooklyn, NY and the Montclair North-Essex YWCA in Montclair, NJ.

Ms. Lee is on the Board of Directors of the Northshore Community Alliance, Pittsburgh, PA, and the Mental Health Association in Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, PA.  She has four adult children and ten grandchildren.
