Nada Stotland Nada Stotland, MD, MPH, is the 2008-9 President of the American Psychiatric Association.

Her career interests have included women's health and mental health; medical ethics; psychiatric education; and the integration of mental health care into general medical care.

She has devoted considerable effort to educating the public about mental health issues, having appeared on Oprah, Larry King Live, the O'Reilly Show, and many other broadcast and print media.

She is the author or editor of 7 books and over 90 articles and chapters.

She and Harold Stotland, her husband of 45 years, have 4 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
